From London with Love!

John Jurko and Matt Lindenberg met with Prince William prior to the United for Wildlife Summit in London

Dear Friends,

I hope this note finds you well! I’ve spent considerable time reflecting on an 11 hour flight back home and I wanted to reach out to you personally with an update about this past week in London.

Where to even begin! I suppose at the beginning. A couple of months ago, I was invited to speak at Prince William’s United for Wildlife summit. What an opportunity! Our Lead Director of Rhino Man and GCC’s Creative Director, John Jurko, was able to come with me. We spoke alongside long-time partners; the Southern African Wildlife College and the Thin Green Line to an audience of around 300 people from around the world. CEOs and leaders from the transportation, financial and conservation sectors met to talk about the International Wildlife Trade, and what is being done to mitigate this $20 billion industry. To speak with global leaders about our work through the Future Rangers Program, while honoring the rangers’ story through Rhino Man was both exhilarating and humbling.

We had the opportunity to privately meet with Prince William and learn about his commitment and passion towards African conservation. There are few people I have met with such presence, compassion and authenticity as the Prince of Wales. The doors that have now been opened from our presence at the summit are heavy and immensely transformative for GCC.

So, this note is to say thank you to you. Thank you for walking alongside us through both joys and tragedy. Thank you for supporting and believing in us. Thank you for choosing to see a greater future and hope for conservation. Just…thank you. I am incredibly grateful for you.

Warm Regards,

Matt Lindenberg

John Jurko, Altin Gysman (SA Wildlife College) and I spoke privately with Prince William prior to the United for Wildlife Summit. We were beyond honored to speak with someone who has a genuine heart for conservation and our work, who uses his platform to speak out against injustice.
