GCC Fundraiser: Combating COVID Through Digital Education

When schools close, students, teachers AND wildlife lose. GCC is ready to jump in with mobile efforts to ensure that students don’t miss out on critical learning. This is where we need your help!

We are organizing this fundraiser to ensure that our more than 7000 students in the Greater Kruger area have access to conservation education, even when schools are closed due to COVID. Your donation will go towards technology and a mobile classroom, transportation and support for our teachers, providing expeditions into the national park for our students, and more.

Our goal is $50,000, and thanks to a generous donor, every gift made before June 7th will be matched up to $25,000! If you can, please donate today to double your impact!

African Intergenerational Conservation Leaders Programme

We are excited to announce that GCC’s Executive Director Matt Lindenberg and Producer Mbhoni Mzamani have been accepted into The African Intergenerational Conservation Leaders Programme. The African Intergenerational Leadership Hub (AIGLH) aims to build intergenerational leadership capacity in the environmental sustainability and conservation arena. More particularly, it seeks to build leaders for the conservation sector of Africa who are able to work across the boundaries of generation, discipline and sector, with diverse stakeholders, elevating conservation as a key economic driver, for the benefit of all.

GCC’s Collaboration with Sustainable Mag

Founded last summer by Francesca Manfredi and Paola Vinci, The Sustainable Mag celebrates sustainable living in an upbeat, entertaining, educational way. The online and print magazine covers a vast range of topics from fashion and beauty, to design and the arts, as well as food and cars, offering useful tips about how to incorporate small changes into one’s own lifestyle.

Now expanding the discussion to the reasons behind why it is so important to encourage a sustainable lifestyle, The Sustainable Mag is now featuring GCC’s podcast, The Voices of Nature, on its website to spread the news to a wider and captive audience. GCC sits down with Manfredi and Vinci to learn more about their exciting adventure into sustainability journalism.
